Now I will tell you about the show Inyasha. You may have heard it mentioned once or twice before. It is quite popular. This is the way the story goes: A girl name Kagome lives at her family shrine with her mother, grandfather, and little brother. Let's not forget the cat, he plays a role in this story. Anyway, one day when Kagome set's out for school she see her brother by the old well house. Her little brother, Souta, tells her the cat, Buyo, has gotten lost in the well house. Kagome goes down to find Buyo. While she is down there a demon bursts out of the well and grabs Kagome and drags her into the well. Kagome fights off the demon, who she later learns is called Mistress Centipede, and finds herself sitting at the bottom of the well in Feduel Japan. As you can imagine she is quite scared and confused. She winds up staying with an old priestess named Kaede and learns she is the reincarnation of said priestess older sister, Kikyou. While she is at the village Mistress Centipede attacks and Kagome flees to protect the village, but Mistress Centipede follows her and attacks. Kagome finds herself infront of a tree where a half demon (one guess who.... ) is sealed by a mystical arrow Kikyou shot him with. Kagome frees the demon and said demon saves her. While Inuyasha (for it was him) is fighting the Sacred Jewel comes out of Kagome's side. Inuyasha turns on Kagome and demands she hand the sacred Jewel over. Kagome refuses and Inuyasha attacks her. Kaede then comes and places a special necklace around Inuyasha's neck. Now when Kagome says 'Sit!' or in Japan, 'Oswari!' Inuyasha does a face plant into the ground.
Later Kagome accidentally shatters the Sacred jewel (Shikon no Tama) into many pieces. Inuyasha agrees to travel with Kagome to find the pieces of the Jewel. Since Kagome can sense the shards they don't have much trouble. But some of the shards have fallen into the wrong hands. Now she along with Inuyasha, Miroku ( a monk with a curse in his right hand), Sango (a demon slayer searching for her little brother) and Shippou (a little fox demon out for revenge for the death of his father) search for the Jewel Shards. Their goal is to get them all before the evil Demon Naraku gets ahold of them. DVA give 'Inuyasha' 4 1/2 stars for good plot lines, good animation, and all around popularity.
